Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off The Record have finally made their way to Steamworks. What does this mean? Simple. You no longer need to load-up and run Games For Windows Live (GFWL) in order to play either of these great Capcom games.
While Dead Rising 2 focused on a new protagonist (Chuck Greene), Off The Record is a reimagining of this game but with the original protagonist, Frank West. Oh, and yes, Frank’s camera and bad-ass wrestling skills are back!
Steamworks integration is excellent news for the franchise on PC, especially with all the game-breaking issues that Dead Rising 3 is still experiencing on Steam. The game was last updated by Capcom October 2014 and if they don’t do something soon, the 3rd installment will be left to rot amongst ”Mixed Reviews’.
Sorry Capcom, but a sale at £22.95 just doesn’t cut it. The 3rd game is currently out for just one next-gen console, so fixing the PC port should really be a high priority, right???
Well, at least we have the Dead Rising 2 games on Steamworks until then.
