Techland were not only responsible for the next-gen releases of Call Of Juarez, they also brought us the co-op masterpiece that is Dead Island. However, just before the games release, Dead Island feel victim to a rushed release date (those damn publishers!) and as a result, critics chiseled away at visual, checkpoint, NPC and save/load issues. You see, here is where we really feel for Techland as just days after Dead Island’s release (and ON its UK release) a patch was released that fixed many of the issues that critics down-marked Dead Island for. Yup…possibly one of the most unlucky pre-release reviews, ever published.
The good thing is that potential buyers now KNOW that many of the bugs referred to in recent Dead Island reviews, have now been removed or tweaked thanks to the patch. Here is a list of bugs noted in critics reviews, that have now been fixed by the new Dead Island patch:
We currently have Dead Island Special Edition in stock!

From the fixes above, you can see that major animation, progression difficulty, escort difficulty, shop, save/loading, map, interactive and NPC issues have all been fixed. There are many more fixes above (and more that are not listed). You can see now why we really feel for Techland. If only the publisher had given them just one more week to polish the game for review builds…
Critics can pick away at Dead Island all they like with their outdated builds, but we know the game is co-op awesomeness! Grab the game, download the patch, get your mates round (make sure they get the patch) and crack open the drink. A zombie outbreak on holiday, is about to become an absolute blast!
Hi SEED,
NPC stands for “Non-playable character”. So for example, any character model in a Dead Island which the player does not have direct control over (AI controlled or not) is classed as an NPC.
Thanks

Cool article. Thanks for converting the technical blurb LOL
Oh, but what does “NPC” mean?
Thanks
